Redirect traffic to internal IP?
 

I have a Cisco 678 modem/router that handles the PPP connection to my DSL service, so it has the external IP.

Is there some way to make it redirect all the traffic to my Debian box, which has an internal IP of 10.0.0.2?

Any ideas appreciated.

I believe you need to open up all ports (port forwarding - but with ALL ports) in the router and direct them all the that particular internal ip. This is sometimes called a DMZ (de-militarized zone). It's a security risk, but basically means that the outside world sees your external ip and when someone sends anything to that ip, the router directs it towards the internal ip you designated.

Of course, your router setup might not have this feature and I'm no expert.
