how do i set up a network between a redhat linux 9 machine and a mac os9 machine??

using the TCP/IP protocol, of course.

Mac OS9 does understand dhcp and can be a dhcpclient to your Linux server.

i have a mac os9 machine, connected to a dlink router (dhcp server), my linux machine is also connected to the router, both are clients

i need to be able to access the mac from my linux machine so that i may transfer files to and from it

both can access the internet and have full network capabilities
