redhat internet connection (eth0) drivers for other distributions?

hello, I'm trying out VectorLinux. runs fine, but I can't connect to the internet. redhat 9 auto-detected my connection but vector linux didn't. I can't connect to the internet... is it possible to get the redhat 9 drivers (fedora?) for Vector Linux?

else, how do I set up my usb adapter cable connection (no router)? I tried netconfig but it doesn't work. I'd be using DHCP... but... nothing!

what's the hostname/domain? I just put localhost.localdomain...

please help!

thanks, although I have set up a connection with usb adapter... I didn't want to reply because this post was off the first page and didn't see much use in breathing more life into it.
