redhat 9.2 networking with windows xp lan server
 

Please can anyone out there help me out and tell me how to make my computer running rehat 9.2 to connect to the net in windows local area network. my lan server is a win xp machine. since i installed the redhat i have not been online with it. how can i resolve it and make it to browse the net along with other systems on my lan? thanks. i appreciate.

type to configure your ethernet:
netconfig

choose bootp/dhcp
then choose ok.

You will need to configure internet connection sharing in Windows XP. For security reasons you may want to investigate setting up your linux machine to be your router. Programs like iptables (when ipforward is enabled) or dnsmasq work well for that.
