RedHat 9.0 2.4.20-8 - Problems with Belkin F5D6020 rel. 2

Greetings,
I have recently acquired a belkin F5D6020 rel. 2 pcmcia card. The reason I bought it was since it was listed as compatible with the orinoco_cs drivers. But when I tried to install it I found I had other problems.
I am running redhat 9.0 2.4.20-8

When I originally inserted the card, kudzu found it and supposedly installed it... Then, when I failed to find it anywhere in the settings in kde, I tried reboot, upon reboot, an interesting thing happened, the green status light went out on the card while linux was loading, and then kudzu loaded up, and brought me to a screen which said the Belkin card had been removed. Then I had the option to keep configuration, remove configuration or ok (do nothing). So for some reason there is a problem here.

After running into this issue, I did some googling (actually alot of googling) and I found the drivers for my card...
atmelwlandriver-3.2.4.4 from sourceforge.net
So I installed these drivers, did the configure, and made all, which successfully compiled the drivers.
After this step...
I am trying to get pcmcia services running for my wifi card on my laptop. I am running Redhat 9.0 2.4.20-8
I have a belkin f5d6020 ver. 2 card
i installed the atmel drivers (atmelwlandriver-3.2.44) from sourceforge.net

I edited the /etc/pcmcia/conf and added
device "pcmf502rd" class "network" module "pcmf502rd"

and then in the proper section... I placed the following lines:

card "Belkin F5D6020 rev.2"
manfid 0x01bf, 0x3302
bind "pcmf502rd"

Then I tried to restart with /etc/init.d/pcmcia restart
Upon trying to restart I get this error:
Shutting down PCMCIA services: cardmgr modulesds: Device or resouce busy
yenta_socket: Device or resouce busy
pcmcia_core: Device or resource busy
.
Starting PCMCIA services: cardmgr

when i type cardctl ident
product info: "Belkin", "11Mbps-Wireless-Notebook-Network-Adapter"
manfid: 0x01bf, 0x3302
function: 6 (network)
Socket 1:
no product info availible

when i type iwconfig i get:
lo no wireless extensions.

Please let me know what you guys think, thanks.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
