Redhat 8.0 & NTL Broadband

Hey,

Just so you guys know Im new to linux (been installed for 2 hours), Just wanted to see what the fuss is about... :P

How can I use my NTL Broadband connection on Redhat 8?

if you've already set up you r ntl account, just set the ethernet interface to boot with DHCP and that's all there is to it. easrch this site for other people asking about ntl modems

I found that with Mandrake 9 (and I think RH8 should be the same) that with my network card and NTL cable modem turned on during install all the connections were made - if you have done the same, you should be ok. You may also want to try the forums on www.nthellworld.com - a couple of users there have step by step instructions for connecting to NTL with RH8.
