reboot problem


Hi friends

when i reboot my Redhat Linux 9.0, i see message below:

ip_tables: (c) 2000-2002 Netfilter core team
ip_conntrack version 2.1


and then a black screen will display.

how can i go to graphical screen?

What comes after these two lines, or just the machine freezes at this point?

the system works well but i can not enter linux commnads in this screen to go to graphical mode!

turn on into the single usermode and turn off iptables in the runlevel 5. then try rebooting.its better u post the original booting messagesin ur post. it would help in solving ur problem

i understood the way of login as single user.now how can i goto runlevel 5?

*if you are in single usermode then
#init 5
*if you are already in runlevel 3
# init 5
or
#startx
to know in which runlevel you are in
#runlevel
