re: missing start bar

hello

my question is, i m using redhat 7.2 , recently when i re- booted
there was the regular trash can and the main home folder, but no start menu, i can 't seem to figure out what happened to it, i not too keen on re-installing, i have done that plenty of times before, i would appreciate anyone who has ever seen the menu go from the screen, let in on waht the problem might be.

cheers masa

you haven't said what desktop you are using, presumably this is a kde or gnome question. please give as much useful information as possible in future.

Your taskbars/start menus are probably just hidden. If you look in the bottom left or bottom right hand corner of your screen you should see a little grey rectangle with a single black arrow on it. If you click that your system menu bar should re-appear.

Cheers
