raw socket permition


Hi!I need to setup the raw socket permitions,when I ping somewhere or any ip I get raw socket not permitted or operation not permitted.any ideas?thanks in advance!

Start your program from root.

thanks!I found out!when I try from same directory exp:konsole>su>as root>oggplayer enter and comes back operation not permitted or command not found,but just normally konsole>su>as root>exp:/home/alex/programs/oggplayer enter success!
