Question about sharing files within a private network
Where I read somewhere that the fastest method for file sharing would be ftp. I'm now struggling to set up a ftp server and I will eventually do this (but I already started question about this on another thread so I won't put them here also). My question however is another one.
Do any f you know about a more practical way way of sharing files within a local network od type C running only Linux Operating Systems, other than ftp? I mean, some method using mount preferably. Is Samba the only solution?
Please give me your suggestions and maybe some pointers about how to do the things you propose.
Thank you for your time, I know it's valuable.
