qmail local delivery lag
 

Hello.

I'm using qmail+qmail-scanner+clamAV on RHEL 3. There seem to be random delays in mail delivery from local users to local recipients on my own server - any ideas what could be causing this?

I mean, sometimes, mail sent from userjoe@mydomain.com
to
userbob@mydomain.com

is sometimes not being delivered instantly! It takes upto 2 hours for small (say 57kB) mails.

If userjoe copies an email to userx@otherdomain.com, it has even reached otherdomain.com before it reaches userbob@mydomain.com.

Any ideas what could be causing this?
