Putty win32/Linux and disconnecting

I use Putty from work to connect to my linux server at home and then to sites. My issue is disconnection or timing out after about 2 hours. I have
this entry in /etc/ssh/sshd_config

PHP Code:
TCPKeepAlive yes
and I notice that is Putty for windows there is a section that says under connections:

PHP Code:
Sending of null packets to keep session active
Seconds between keepalives
:(default for off
So the stupid question so the year is does that mean to send a packet every 5 seconds to keep the connection alive until the users end the connection? There is also a section that say:

PHP Code:
Low-Level TCP connection options:

Enable TCP keepsalives(SO_KEEPALIVE option
Can someone translate?

That setting does send a keepalive from the client to the server every 5 seconds. If you set it to 0 the client will not send keepalives.
