Proxy works in Firefox but not in Konqueror
 

I'm trying to connect to the Internet through a proxy. When using Firefox, I can connect through the proxy, but not when using Konqueror. I've double-checked the settings, but for some reason Konqueror won't prompt for the authentication settings when required, whereas Firefox will. Why is this, any how can I fix it?

if u set a proxy in kde control center u still have to set konqueror to use this general kde settings in konqueror options

Let me make this a little clearer: when I try to use the proxy in Konqueror I simply get a page from the proxy telling me that I'm unauthorized, whereas Firefox prompts for a login.
