In our setup return direct is the lan. Lan being the subnet we have. To go out of the subnet which we would call wan or internet we return a proxy server's address.

So, does the OP know the correct proxy servers' address and is it open? Can you simply use the proxy address instead of the pac file and will it work? It should.

he's already stated that it works fine that way, and it's the isInNet comparsion line that's causing problems, and that appears to be an ipv6 issue.

OH, OH, OH.

OK then don't use the proxy.pac in firefox file and see if it works. Was the proxy.pac file also part of network config for all? Any hosts file entries? Proxy.pac files seem to bypass hosts files but when you remove pac it then follows normal name lookup.
