Proxy Arp error

Hey, I have no clue what proxy arp is for lol.

I am using slack9 with rp-pppoe. I have a DSL line.

I get this in my syslog and I have no need of this proxy arp because I don't care about it since it seems useless to me.

Is there a way to remove it or have it determine the ethernet address so it will leave my logs alone?

Proxy ARP is when a device such as a router sends it's own MAC address on behalf of the computer that's trying to be contacted instead of that particular computer sending it's own MAC address.

Whats the rp bit of pppoe ?

No idea how to turn it off. How did you turn it on?
