ProFTPd problems.

Greetings board folk!

I am running a ProFTPd server on Mandrake 10.0, configuring with webmin. I am having a little trouble. I can connect to the server fine with my web browser if I use the LAN IP but if I try using the domain name my browser just sits there trying to connect, and not doing anything. I was thinking it was something with my router config, but I've got the server set as DMZ, and it still is not working. Any ideas?

I have a similar problem but i think its due to the router as when you connect to the domain you will be taken to the router login screen meaning it won't redirect to your computer for the server.

I suggest you get someone to give login in a try from another computer. If it works from there then nothing needs changing it just means when you want to log in you will have to use 127.0.0.1.

You many need to create a virtual server on your router so it know to redirect attempts on that port to your computer on your network not any other.
