Proftpd and mysql authentication question

Hi all,

I have some questions regarding proftpd and mysql authentication. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

1. If I use mysql authentication, will the normal server users be able to login to the server?

2. Is it possible to specify home directory, account/password expiration date and read/write permissions via mysql authentication?

Thanks!
