I'm having problems running SSH IPsec Express Toolkit with manual keys on Mandrake 8.0 (2.4.3-20mdk). When I run the policy manager (sshipm), the PC hangs (I'm unable to do much of anything - including getting a response from a simple 'ls'). I'm running locally on a Pentium III. This problem doesn't happen on an official linux kernel (2.4.3). It also doesn't happen if I use IKE instead of manual keys.

Has anyone seen this problem before, or have any suggestions for where the problem might lie?

Also, can anyone think of differences between 2.4.3-20mdk and the official 2.4.3 kernel that might result in such a problem?

As you're either using a free trial or have bought this from SSH.com I would like to suggest you take this issue up with the makers of this commercial and closed source product. They say they've got support for users...
