problems with dial-out authentification


I use to connect kppp or rp3 or wvdial.I have set the debug option in /etc/ppp/options and the log file tells me that is no
answer to my PAP autentifiquate request then my modem disconnect.Kppp crashes.In windows i can connect to my ISP but in Linux it does not work.
My modem sends aprox 10 times the user and password but the
server is not responding.

So if you can give me an advise please.

have you tried using another ay of connecting besides with PAP? also, what isp are you using? you can check with them and see if they require any scripts or anything spcecific to connect to their servers....
