problem with wusb11 ver2.6

i'm using redhat 9...i've installed kernel-wlan-ng-0.1.14-4.i386.rpm, kernel-wlan-ng-0.2.0-7.i386.rpm, kernel-wlan-ng-modules-rh9.8-0.2.0-7.i386.rpm, and kernel-wlan-ng-usb-0.2.0-7.i386.rpm..i've tested the usb ports...so first, i unplug and plug in my wireless network adapter and then i type in modprobe prism2_usb as root...it gives me a long error message...

I don't think that's the right driver for the 2.6.

do yourself a favor and search here on that device name "wusb11", it's been a rather popular topic, and I've seen more than a few threads where the people got it going.

It looks like your Adapter uses the Atmel chipset (http://www.linux-wlan.org/docs/wlan_adapters.html). I haven't got the same adapter, but I have a usb adapter with the same chipset, so you should be able to follow the same instructions as I did.

You can download a driver from http://atmelwlandriver.sourceforge.net/news.html and I used the howto under usb.

http://atmelwlandriver.sourceforge.net/howto/howto.html

Hope this helps
