Exclamation Problem with ping resolving url local

on linux and mac computers all my internals url don't resolv to the ip if i ping the url but when i made nslookup url it says the good ip.

So i think the dns is already resolving the url but why does a ping or a web browser says host not found and a nslookup and a dig url says the good IP...?

Thanks for your help.

And sorry for my bad english.

Perhaps you have not defined name resolution. The IP address and the domain should be specified in /etc/hosts in the format;

<ip_address> <host_name>

This should be provided on each box to resolve by name. You use the term url but this is used in relation to Internet servers and relates to http addresses which are something different altogether. I am sure that this is not what you are referring to here.

i need an other solution.

Thank you for your reply but i am in a company and it is not always the same users who connect to the network.

some of the users of our network are from other company who work to mine.

and i need a solution from DNS or something i can change on my network to make all new computers working without modify on the client computer.

Thank you.

check your DNS entry in your client computers and dont use any other Dns than your local dns ..with your configured dns
ie . use only your local dns as primary DNS no enty for secondary dns.

Already tested

I have already tested this but it don't work.
I have try to put only 1 of my dns servers but it don't change anithing.
So the 2 dns servers who are on my client computers are 2 internals.
this is for 2 active directory and the dns servers are the secondary of the other.
on first server domaina is first and stored on this and the domain b is a copy of database of server b...

Thank you for reply.

And if you have an other solution ... i'll take ...

do you have Master and slave DNS's ?
can you stop your slave for time being and recheck all with primary dns only ..get dig from server itself and than from other machines in lan.

The secondary server removed (stoped) don't change but the dig already work from the beggining.

a dig or a nslookup always return the good ip.
