Lightbulb problem with network reboot every 45min

Hello

I use an P3 450MHz with 384MB Ram
1 Realtek Networkcard and 1 netgear networkcard
both with 10/100 Mbits

I use this machine as Router between my LAN and the Internet.
the Realtekcard is attached to the DSL Modem.

I installed Redhat 7.3 with newest rp-ppp packet.

Connecting with Internet and routing are OK.
But after 45 minutes or so the complete Network shutting down and reboot.
It takes several minutes to connect to the Internet.

This shows me the /var/log/message:

Aug 24 15:16:51 Meiner apmd[727]: System Suspend

It looks like it's disconnecting when the machine goes into suspend mode. Try disabling this. man apm or man apmd, I don't know the specifics, I don't use apm on my linux systems (I'm a sinner, I know) so I just don't compile power management support into my kernels.

apm/apmd is "Advanced Power Management".

Hope this helps.

Thanks

I deactivated the apmd.
It seems to work now.
I am testing it.
