Hello!
I asked a similar question last week here, and was reliably informed that moving files to a w2k partition (because it is NTFS based) is *not* recommmended. I ended up burning the files to a cd in order to move them to w2k.

regards,
doug

There's some good stuff here about Linux (Red Hat in particular) and sharing with NTFS partitions. Looks like it's best left "read-only" :( What I've done is set-up some FAT32 partitions on my Windows box so I can copy stuff backwards and forwards...seems to work fine:)

Actually don't I use NTFS on Win2k and still have problem copying files on linux box from network browser (konqueror) back to linux.
I can however get the same effect by copying files on Windows2K
to linux box in windows network neigbourhood...
WHat can be a reason for this?
