problem with bind


i originally posted this in the software section, however i never received a response. i'm hoping someone in this section could answer it.

I don't think it can do that after dropping privs. That's the experience I have on OpenBSD with a chroot jail. I can reload zones, but not the config file.

you should be able to reload bind in a chroot jail. This means that you have incorrectly setup the jail.

if you dont want to reinstall it properly then try sending a SIGHUP to named and it should relread the config file.
