Problem using dialup networking


Hi
I m a newbie.I m facing problem connecting internet.
I installed a modem successfully.Now when i dial using wvdial it dials properly and connects , i can hear the noise of the modem but then it shows no activity, I can't browse with mozilla it can't find any page

Any help??
I m using Fedora core 4, kernel version 2.6.11

I don't know much about FC4 (I did have FC2 a while back).

You are using wvdial to connect. Are you using a fancy graphical frontend (interface) or are you using a terminal and typing
Code:
wvdial MY-ISP
If you are not using a graphical front end, can you post the last ~10 lines (remove phone number, user name if need be).

If the modem is connecting properly you might have to (re)install ppp and DHCP.

I am using wvdial from terminal,not using gui.

here is the contents of my wvdial.conf :
[Modem0]
Modem = /dev/modem
Baud = 115200
SetVolume = 2
Dial Command = ATDT
Init1 = ATZ
Init3 = ATM1L2
FlowControl = CRTSCTS
[Dialer gononet]
Username = ********
Password = *******
Phone = *********
Stupid Mode = 1
Init1 = ATZ
Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
Inherits = Modem0
