Problem reconfiguring network

Hi
I have an ADSL modem which usually is attached to a router. However when I recently removed the router and connected the PC directly to the modem I can't get through to the Internet in Linux(Fedora 11 x86-64). If I instead boot into Windows everything works fine.

Does anyone have any idea what can be wrong? My best guess is that I must reconfigure the network so I've been poking around in some of the network configurations witout any success.

I'm guessing that you have set a static IP in Linux and are using DHCP in Windows. Set Linux to automatically assign IP and DNS addresses and you should be fine.
