just hav compiled kernel a few times
i m using sles 10 in vmware workstation 7
booted up 2.6.23 kernel

i need to change the ethernet pause parameters to turn read and transmit on
but getting the following error

can somebody plz tell me the cause of error and the soln

looks like its your device driver. I was using an old driver and was getting the same kind of error. upgrading the driver to the exact device driver solved it.
