problem about NAT and squid

When i use NAT only , the clinet machines can resolve the domine names ,but when i redirect the port 80 to 8080(the proxy port i use in squid),clinets can not resolve domine names again .i have filled in DNS in the clinets' network configuration, but it doesn't work.who can tell me why? thx

The DNS of the clients should be the squid ip. The DNS of the squid should be the outside DNS. The iptable rules for the squid server should allow passthrough from wan(squid) to lan(client).

Setting clients's DNS to be my squid server's ip doesn't works.when a clinet resolves the domine name,it gives a error message like"no response from 192.168.0.1(my squid server's inner ip).So I need to set a DNS server,needn't I?
