I am a fledgling on linux. I have a question to bother you. What can I do to use printers(installed in the windows server 2003)to print a file in linux system? Thanks!
Just use 'cups' and connect to an 'smb' printer. XP seems to have a special feature - when browsing with the KDE CUPS configuration tool, it gives me all sorts of nasty messages and refuses to show me any printers; however, if I type in the 'network name', 'computer name' and 'printer name' rather than using the graphical browser, the printer install goes fine and I can print.
You will need to tell people what distribution and windows/desktop managers you use if you want people to suggest useful tools.

How do you set that up to print from linux to xp? Could you please explain?
