PPTP Not Connecting

I am attempting to connect to a Microsoft VPN server via SuSE v9.2. I attempt the below command with the output that follows. The connection fails, although there is no obvious error. I tried this with and without my firewall. My router does do pass through of PPTP, as this works on another WinXP box.

What am I doing wrong?

GRE Payloads appear to be traded when I do a TCP dump:

08:45:10.138511 IP 192.168.1.150 > vpn.my_host.com: call 60027 seq 16 gre-ppp-payload
08:45:10.299902 IP vpn.my_host.com > 192.168.1.150: call 0 seq 24 ack 16 gre-ppp-payload

Yes, I have been through the help there several times, but still not successful in connecting. I did find this:

http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/VPN-HOWTO/

And will most likely opt for ssh forwarding.
