PPTP Client connects but cannot ssh or ping any hosts on FC6

I'm running a new install of Fedora Core 6. I installed the PPTP client and configured the pptpconfig. The new connection connects fine but I cannot ping or ssh to any remote server once connected. The same config works on SuSE 10. Any Ideas?
