pppoeserver with pap/chap

hello,linux fans
I want to build a pppoe-server ,and I have installed
rp-pppoeserver-xx.rpm.
Any clients on my local area network can connect to my
pppoe-server without pap or chap authentication.

Now I want to configure the server to use pap or chap authentication,Can anyone tell me the details or
give me some documents about pppoeserver?
How should I configure the file --pap-secrets in /etc/ppp?

Thank you very much.
