Whats the status if eth0?

Try stopping pppoe and bringing down eth0 i.e. ifdown eth0 and then restarting pppoe.

If you continue to have lots of trouble I would recommend switching to Mandrake 9.1. It sets up PPPoE for you during install and is very easy to configure. You can change the setup from the Mandrake Control Center. Lot easier than Redhat out of the box if you need PPPoE.

True but you'll learn nothing at all.

Merlin371: if you want to share you connection to other computer, you'll need to set up a NAT with Iptables. It seems harder as it is in reality. Search on forum or google and you should find a lot of docu 'bout it. A computer acting as a NAT can be setted as the default gateway to computer around him.

Mine is working damn great :P
