PPPoE weirdness

Hello all,

I came home today to a tragedy, my internet connection was down.

So far, I have determined the problem is likely with the PPPoE client I am using. I have been able to get the modem connected on other PCs in my house.

The ISP assigns an IP address, but the value 'P-t-p' is set to 192.168.200.1 for some reason. This if I recall correctly should be my ISP gateway IP.

I have tried recompiling roaring penguin and reconnecting it, but this doesn't seem to make a difference.

My DSL skills are meagre at best, can someone explain why this is happening? Is there an option to override this apparent static setting?

Best regards,
- m³

System: Redhat 9
PPPoE: Roaring Penguin 3.5
