ppp + gprs

Hello all! I need help in configuring ppp to run a gprs enabled cellphone (siemens mc35).

i am using ppp scripts that (i believe are ok already) and after executing pppd, i can ping the ip number of the server but i cannot ping my local dns written in /etc/resolv.conf (which are valid since i am able to connect to the internet now using lan, i execute pppd with lan disabled). in fact, i cannot ping anything more (except my end of the ppp). what could have possibly been wrong in here? below are the output of pppd, ifconfig and route -n.

pppd with eth0 deactivated

...
CONNECT

If the following ppp negotiations fail,
try restarting the phone.

Serial connection established.

Using interface ppp0
