postfix - Relay access denied 554

hi,

i have installed postfix and it is working fine within the office premisses (LAN). But when i try sending mails from outside office premisses (WAN), i get the error message "554 <xxxxxxxx@xxxxt.xxx>: Relay access denied; in my postfix mail log file. I think there is a setting i have to add in main.cf, can u help me on this issue. or is it the dns settings i have to check ?

the main.cf is this.....

..................................................
smtpd_banner = $myhostname ESMTP $mail_name (Debian/GNU)
biff = no

# appending .domain is the MUA's job.
append_dot_mydomain = no

# Uncomment the next line to generate "delayed mail" warnings
delay_warning_time = 4h

content_filter = scan:127.0.0.1:10026
receive_override_options = no_address_mappings

myhostname = mail.xxxxxxx.xxx
# myhostname = localhost
alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases
alias_database = hash:/etc/aliases
# myorigin = /etc/mailname
# myorigin = $myhostname
mydestination = mail.xxxxxx.xxx, localhost.localdomain, localhost.localdomain, localhost
relayhost =
home_mailbox = Maildir/
mynetworks = 127.0.0.0/8, 192.168.1.0/24, 10.0.0.0/24
#mailbox_command = procmail -a "$EXTENSION"
mailbox_size_limit = 0

# message_size_limit = 20480000

virtual_mailbox_domains = /etc/postfix/vhosts
virtual_mailbox_base = /home/vmail
virtual_mailbox_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/vmaps
virtual_minimum_uid = 1000
virtual_uid_maps = static:5000
virtual_gid_maps = static:5000

recipient_delimiter = +
inet_interfaces = all
........................................................

thanx,
fasy

You are sending message to someone in your destiantion?, or to somebody outside your destination
mails from outside will be accepted for delivery only for domains after mydestination statement

Afaik Postfix only allows smtp relaying from users in your "mynetworks" parameter. You can configure relay access by using smtpd_recipient_restrictions.

More here: http://www.postfix.org/postconf.5.ht...t_restrictions
