Possible? Ping reply from four ports at the same time.

Hi all

I m newbie need to learn if there is a solution to below ping reply problem? (it works on XP)

I have 4 ethernet ports on my PC (all in the same subnet) Operating system is: Linux Red Hat 8.0

eth0:195.1.10.1 (first on the routing table)
eth1:195.1.10.2
eth2:195.1.10.3
eth4:195.1.10.4

All ports are connected to a switch.
Problem is; when I try to ping those four ports from another PC, all the ping replies are coming from the same port eth0. (eth0 is the first ethernet port on routing table)

I can ping eth2,eth3,eth4 even if they have no connection to switch. Which prevents me to testing those ports at the same time.

when I start the PC with windows, I do ping any port I want only if it is connected to switch.

Honestly I am new to linux but I was unhappy to see something windows is capable to do but linux doesnt. or may be there is a way to ping all ports (in the same subnet) at the same time, but I dont know how to

Is there anyway that I can do that on red hat?

I ll really appreciate any help,
thanks in advance

This isn't going to work, because you've got all the interfaces on the same subnet, and Linux will just have a single entry in the routing table for that subnet, pointing to eth0. Why do you need them all on the same subnet? What are you trying to achieve?

cdhgee is right. If there is no obvious reason why they need to be on the same subnet, then don't.
Should you insist on using the same subnet, try adding explicit routing information via the
command "ip route" or "route".

There's another, recent thread on the same subject that had the exact command in it. Search the forums and you will find...
