Poftpd stops listening after a while and has to be reloaded

I have PFTPD set to start from the rc.inet2 file. Its runs ok and can be accessed. The only problem is is that if it goes for a while with out being used, it shuts down or just stops listening and has to be rebooted in order to start again. Is there anyway that I can MAKE SURE that its on and listening 24/7 ?

What do your log files tell you just before it stops working?
It really shouldn't give up without any reason. Try running it in debug mode or with verbose to log more information of what it's doing if you can't find anything in the log files.
