Pls help with ip routing!

I have a problem if someone can help me and i'll be direct:
I am a little noob on linux; my isp rented me 12 public ip adresses from 83.103.209.1 to 83.103.209.12 and i have a much larger network, about 40 computers, which have ip adresses from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.44,
can i somehow use those 12 ip adresses as gateways for the 42 computers passing with first 3 computers through the first public ip,with the second group of 3 computers through the secont public ip, and so on?
PLS HELP!

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.

You have 2 ways of fixing your problem:

1) Using PAT ( port address translation):

This has to be configured on the router between your LAN and your provider. Have a look on your router's doc.
If you're using a Linux box as a router and needs help to do it, I've never done it on a Linux box but I'm sure others in this forum will be able to help you out.

2) Using a proxy server:

Configure on one Linux box a proxy server (like sqid) and configure all the other PC to use the proxy server to browse the web. This way you only need 1 box to have Internet access (all the other will be bouncing on it). This is also great for security purposes as well since only one PC is exposed.

In both solution you don't need 12 official IP, only one is enough
