Is there any reason you have to use Majo.....?

These days, mailman is far popular.

Funny subject line.

I hope your boss is at least willing to discuss it.

The mailing list manager, not the subject line.

i've actually worked it out for myself using something other than demime

http://www.phred.org/~alex/stripmime.html

all you have to do, is go into your aliases file find your mailing list aliases from

lets say your list is called senior-support-staff, change it from.

senior-support-staff: "/usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper resend -l senior-support-staff senior-support-staff-list"
senior-support-staff-list: :include:/var/lib/majordomo/lists/senior-support-staff
owner-senior-support-staff: senior-support-staff@cathedral.qld.edu.au
senior-support-staff-owner: senior-support-staff@cathedral.qld.edu.au
senior-support-staff-approval: senior-support-staff@cathedral.qld.edu.au
senior-support-staff-request: "/usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper majordomo -l senior-support-staff"

to:

smart-board: "|/usr/lib/majordomo/stripmime.pl | /usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper resend -l smart-board smart-board-list"
smart-board-list: :include:/var/lib/majordomo/lists/smart-board
owner-smart-board: smartboard@cathedral.qld.edu.au
smart-board-owner: smartboard@cathedral.qld.edu.au
smart-board-approval: smartboard@cathedral.qld.edu.au
smart-board-request: "|/usr/lib/majordomo/stripmime.pl | /usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper majordomo -l smart-board"

and i put the stripmime.pl in the /usr/lib/majordomo/ file.

but now we've got one more problem, major domo seams to be filling up our mail logs does anyone know how to change the frequency of checks that major domo does?

it seams to send one of these threw every second.
