Ping works but write,talk doesnt
 

I hav two PCs' connected by LAN. when I ping them they respond but when I try commands like write or talk it says that connection cannot be established. Even ftp is not working. where is it going wrong?? Should I have a server for these commands to work???

standard commands don't usually require a seperate server, but check your firewall.
