ping works but ssh not

my PC is in the lan and its ip address is
we r having department network and has ip address
ping and ping both send reply packates. i.e. work fine
My user name is tushars on both machines.

ssh tushars@ works fine . but when i says
ssh tushars@ it does not respond.

the another thing is when i says ssh and enters in to my accound and
gave command ssh tushars@ it work fine and allows me to login in that pc.
Pls send me solution
I am trying to access that pcs from hostel ( IP Address )

could u tell us about firewall setings if any??

and are trying to ssh ur machine only
