ping problem


hi, I can't ping any computers of my network although I have

installed all packages of networking, what can I do to ping?

sorry, I have forgotten to note that:

when I give command ping from from console I face up with an
"command not found" message.

I am using Redhat Linux 7.1; when I have installed default

packages choosen by Linux installer I can ping, but I can't ping

when I install packages one by one.


There is no "ping" command neither in /bin nor in /sbin.

ping lives in the "iputils" package...
