phpnuke or plone on a remote server

HI all,
I want to install plone or php nuke on my website which is a linux server.
I got most of the way through the installation of php-nuke but can't figure out how to get it up and running.

But with plone I just have no clue how I install it on a remote host where I don't have root privileges.

Is there an easier content system to install on a remote host, or could someone point me to an easy to follow document that will show me how to do this?

Thanks
Aaron
