peer to peer networking in suse linux 8.1

i have three computers on a small network (ethernet) thay all shaire the internet (dhpc via router) but i would like to get file and printer shaireing to work and am not sure how to go about this.

any help would be appreacated

Welcome to LQ !


For file sharing u have to configure NFS sever and for print either use cups or lpd.

For nfs configuration u would like to have a look on the post 3 of this thread

I am not using suse.

You can use samba for filesharing also. That way even windows machines can share ur network

I was finding this from last few days that how to configure samba b/w linux and linux. Could plz. tell me how to configure samba b/w linux and linux m/c. I know how to configure samba b/w win and linux.
