Question peer-to-peer networking in Debian Sarge

I have two desktop computers, both running on Debian Sarge RC3. I have got a free ADSL modem (which only has ONE ethernet outlet) and I decided that it is too expensive to buy a router.

I have connected the ADSL modem and USB multi-function copier (with scanning and printing functions) Brother MFC8820D to my new computer, which has a built-in ethernet port as well as a PCI ethernet card.

However I also wish my old computer to share the MFC and the printer as well as having access to files on the new computer by connecting both computers together with an ethernet link.

How can I set up both computer in an ethernet peer-to-peer fashion in order to allow ADSL, file and MFC sharing between both computers?

Thanks

Mark

Too many questions for a single thread, but these are some programs and links where to start:

For ADSL sharing use IP Masquerade:
http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/doc...ade-HOWTO.html

For file sharing NFS or SAMBA:
http://www.faqs.org/docs/Linux-HOWTO...OWTO.html#WHAT
http://us3.samba.org/samba/

For printer sharing use CUPS:

Luck and patience.
