path in ns2

i have installed ns-allinone-2.31 on OS redhat enterprise ES Linux. i have installed folder on desktop. the problem is that when i pasted a tcl file and nam file(e.g, aodv_10.tcl,aodv_10.nam) on desktop and went to terminal and give the command 'ns aodv_10.tcl' then there appeared
'ns command not found'. i think this is problem relating path adjustment. plz provide me exact path location and also tell where i have to paste that path. another thing to b noted that when i pasted tcl file in ns2.31(sufolder of ns-allinone-2.31)and nam file in nam folder then nam executes output like GUI succesfully.
thanks a lot. i hav spent bundle of days on it but not found. plzzzzzzzzz help me

Please spell and write clearly.

We can't provide you with the exact path, since we don't know anything about your system. Your paths are local to your system; you can do a "locate ns", or "find / -name ns", and note where it is. Once found, try "export PATH=%PATH%:<wherever NS is located>".

If you've spent a 'bundle of days' on this, try Google next time...setting a path is a very simple thing.
