Path error


Hi there,

Thanks for your answer. I am configuring bind9 on an excisting server.
he is my path

/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/X11R6/bin:/root/bin

Hi,

Is ar installed (which ar)? It should reside in /usr/bin. /usr/bin should be in your PATH variable (and probably is). echo $PATH to check if it is.

If ar is not installed: install ar first.
If /usr/bin isn't part of your PATH: export $PATH:/usr/bin
