i've tried to go to patagonia.com several tims on my linux box, but can't access it. however, i can access any other website i have tried e.g. google.com, linuxquestions, etc. but not patagonia.com

my friend is able to on his box using IE?

I have tried firefox, mozilla, and konqueror.

I know port 80 is not firewalled at all, because I would not be able to create this thread. interesting...

I can see it using konqueror without any problems, however I can not suggest anything else. What don't you say what browser you are using etc.

In my first post I stated :

"I have tried firefox, mozilla, on konqueror." and that I could access any other web page I visit.

So you did sorry !
I would suggest that you use something like snort or www.grc.com to see what ports you have open. You could scan a PC that works so you
what is different.
I think the best idea would be to go to
https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2 and see what ports are open, from your and PC and your friends. Or you could email the web site owner and ask.
