optimal networking config...
 

Hello

I am running Debian Linux, and often experience slow browsing.. this MAY be due to NTL's proxies, but i just thought i'd ask that if anyone who has a lovely fast connection working with their linux box, could post the fundamentals of their networking config, just to compare?

For example.. what are you 'networking options' in the kernel? all the advanced router options stuff are confusing, etc.

iptables script?...

hosts/resolv.conf ?

I think I'm just being paranoid as im sure its all set up fine :) but it would be interesting to see how others do things.
